Project Overview

BrainBite is an AI-driven learning platform focused on creating engaging, personalized educational experiences for children. Through a combination of AI mentors, gamified learning paths, and real-world rewards, BrainBite provides a unique approach to education, helping young learners achieve their goals while keeping parents informed of their progress. The platform targets children aged 6–12, along with their parents, who are seeking an adaptive and fun way to enhance their educational journey.

My Role

As a Product Designer at BrainBite, I am involved in the design and development of the platform from its early stages. My responsibilities include:

  • Designing intuitive user interfaces that enhance the learning experience for children and their parents.
  • Integrating gamified elements such as streaks, badges, and real-world rewards to keep learners engaged and motivated.
  • Collaborating closely with founders and developers to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Ensuring the platform is responsive and accessible on multiple devices, offering a seamless learning experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Challenges

  • Balancing Child and Parent Experiences: Designing an interface that is engaging for children while also providing valuable insights to parents required careful consideration. Both user groups needed tailored experiences without compromising on usability.

Design Process

  • Information Gathering and Translation: I work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional design elements that cater to both children and parents.
  • Iterative Design and Feedback: Throughout the design process, I regularly collaborate with founders and development teams, using an iterative approach to refine the user experience. I incorporate feedback from early testing to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Early User Feedback: During early development, we gathered feedback from alpa and beta testers to better understand how children and parents interact with the platform. This feedback was critical in adjusting the flow and design to enhance the overall experience.

Solution

  • Seamless User Interface: I designed a simple, intuitive interface that enables children to easily navigate through courses and track their progress. For parents, I created dashboards and notifications to provide detailed insights into their child’s learning journey.
  • Gamification and Rewards: The platform integrates gamified elements such as streaks, badges, and real-world rewards, keeping children motivated while learning. These features are designed to encourage consistency and excitement in the learning process.
  • Adaptive Design: The platform is designed to work across multiple devices, ensuring a smooth experience whether users are on mobile, tablet, or desktop. This adaptability is crucial for families using different devices.
