Strivio
Strivio is a personalized fitness and nutrition app that helps users build healthier routines through structured plans, daily tracking, and digital coaching.

Project Overview
Strivio is a personalized fitness and nutrition app designed to help people build a structured routine without relying on multiple tools or an expensive personal trainer.
After completing an intake, users receive personalized nutrition and two-week workout plans based on their goals, experience, schedule, and preferences. They can perform workouts directly in the app, log their daily nutrition, track their progress, and receive guidance from a digital coach.
The product brings several connected areas into one experience:
- Personalized fitness and nutrition planning
- Daily health and activity tracking
- Workout scheduling and execution
- Nutrition logging
- Recovery and progress insights
- Digital coaching
- Premium subscription management
The goal was not simply to design another workout tracker. Strivio needed to connect planning, action, tracking, and guidance into one clear system that could support both beginners and more independent users.
The Problem
Many fitness products focus heavily on only one part of the journey.
Some apps help users count calories. Others provide workout libraries or track completed exercises. Users often have to decide how these separate pieces should work together and what they should do next.
This creates several problems.
A fragmented experience
Users may need separate apps for nutrition, workouts, recovery, progress tracking, and coaching. Their data and daily activities become disconnected.
Too much manual planning
Beginners may not know which exercises to choose, how often they should train, or how their nutrition should support their fitness goals.
Limited personal guidance
Generic workout programs rarely consider a user’s schedule, experience, preferences, physical condition, and progress.
Personal coaching is not always accessible
A personal trainer can provide structure and guidance, but it may be too expensive or time-consuming for many users.
Strivio was created to provide a more accessible alternative: one personalized system that guides users from planning to daily action.
My Role
I worked on Strivio as the Product Designer, responsible for transforming the initial product concept into a complete mobile experience.
The client had already prepared early concepts, use-case diagrams, and reference screens. However, these materials were used only as a starting point. I redesigned the experience from the ground up rather than continuing the previous interface.
My responsibilities included:
- Understanding the product requirements and business model
- Reviewing competitor products in the fitness and nutrition market
- Defining the app’s information architecture
- Translating high-level use cases into detailed user flows
- Determining the purpose and required content of each screen
- Designing all major features and supporting states
- Mapping alternative paths, edge cases, and premium restrictions
- Creating the visual interface and interaction patterns
- Building a functional coded prototype using FactoryDroid
- Preparing the flows and screens for development handoff
- Refining the experience based on client and technical feedback
I designed the product end to end, covering the experience from onboarding and plan generation through workout execution, nutrition logging, coaching, settings, and subscription management.
The development plan also required design-related features to be reviewed and approved before they could move into implementation, making design delivery an important dependency in the overall development process.
Design Process
Understanding the product
I first reviewed the product goals, business model, use-case diagrams, and existing references.
I then studied several fitness and nutrition apps to understand familiar interaction patterns, content structure, and opportunities for improvement.

Defining the experience
I organized Strivio around four main areas:
Home for daily progress and scheduled workouts.
Logbook for nutrition and activity records.
Coach for nutrition, activity, recovery, and digital guidance.
More for profile, preferences, subscriptions, and settings.
The final navigation was structured as Home, Logbook, Coach, and More.

Expanding the flows
The original Miro flows were mostly high level, so I expanded them into detailed screen-level experiences.
I defined the main path, alternative actions, decision points, edge cases, premium restrictions, and interactions for each feature.
AI was used as a design companion to explore missing information, possible states, and questions that needed to be answered. The final decisions and design direction were still evaluated and defined by me.

The Solution
The final experience connects the user journey from initial planning to daily action:
- Users complete a personalized intake.
- Strivio creates a workout and nutrition plan.
- Home shows what needs attention today.
- Users perform workouts and log their nutrition.
- Progress is recorded across the app.
- Coach provides feedback based on the user’s activity.
The final design covered onboarding, personalized plans, daily tracking, workout scheduling, workout execution, nutrition logging, digital coaching, settings, and premium subscription flows.
Functional Prototype
Instead of stopping at static Figma screens, I used Factory Droid / Droid CLI to create a functional coded prototype.
This allowed me to test navigation, interactions, screen transitions, user inputs, and connected end-to-end flows in a more realistic environment.
The prototype also gave the development team a clearer reference for how the product should behave, not only how it should look.
Outcome
The complete product design and coded prototype were finished before full development began.
The result was a clear and implementation-ready product direction that transformed an early high-level concept into a structured mobile experience.
The production application is currently still in development, so no user or business performance metrics are available yet.
